Fireside Provisions is the HelloFresh or Blue Apron of camping, delivering campfire-ready prepared meals to your door.
Taking “glamorous camping” (abbreviated as “glamping”) to a new level, they prepare ingredients for a day’s worth of snacks and gourmet meals. You pick your preferred meals and snacks online before you go and, like Blue Apron, they deliver the ingredients straight to your door before your trip.
Pick two snacks for $7 per person, from hummus and fire roasted red peppers to raw cacao energy chunks, or choose a day’s worth of a menu (two meals and two snacks) for $15 per person. Imagine “Fireside Cranberry Scores with Natural Jams” in the morning and “Maple Mustard Pork Chops and Spicy Chili Baked Yams” for dinner. Personally, I can imagine tasting shame, but it would taste so good.
On the other hand, there’s definitely a market for this, as glamping gains popularity as a team building activity across corporate America. Baby Boomers and Millennials alike are getting into glamping, finding it a viable alternative to taking a cruise or traveling to the Bahamas.
The idea behind Fireside Provisions is that campers spend too much time preparing and cooking meals on camping trips that they could spend with their loved ones. By cutting out preparation time (from planning meals to buying the groceries), campers can get the most out of their camping trip.
