Tulum has one of the best beaches in Mexico. Tulum offers jungle camping just 350 feet from the beach. Spectacular ruins, beautiful coastline, white-sugar sand and balmy breezes draws tourists from all over the world to Tulum. This family-friendly destination offers a number of attractions, including underground cenotes and a large biosphere. 

Cancun is the closest airport to Tulum. The estimated cost for flights from New York City is $365. There are non-stop flights available to Cancun, so it is possible to enjoy Tulum on a long weekend. A Visa is not required for travel to Mexico, but a valid passport is needed. The cost for meals in Tulum is very reasonable.

Clifden offers a unique, eco-friendly campsite that is nestled amongst the sand dunes. The campsites are hidden between grass covered dunes. Flights to Shannon Airport, the nearest one of Clifden, are $600 and up from new York. The recommended stay is three or more days. A valid passport is needed to enter Ireland. A Visa is not required. The cost of food and drinks is similar to what you would find in the U.S.

Flights between New York City and Athens, Greece start at $725. Travelers must take a ferry or a regional flight from Athens to Paros. The recommended length of stay is a week or more to enjoy all that Paros has to offer. Food and other expenses can be a little higher than in the United States.

Palavas Les Flots is a seaside resort in the south of France. Les Roquilles is a lovely beach just a few miles away from Montpellier. There are several different campgrounds in this area. Families will enjoy paddle boarding, kitesurfing, diving and sailing. It is very easy to take a tram into Montpellier for a day of shopping. 

Montpellier has a wide variety of restaurants from bistros to upscale restaurants. Expect to pay prices similar to what you would pay in New York. A Visa is required for travel to France. Flights into Montpellier from New York are $1,000 and up. A week or longer stay is recommended.
